Based on this table, I believe my audience will come from category E. However I am not talking about pensioners or unemployed people necessarily, I am talking about students. I think my film would appeal to students because generally we are a politically correct generation who have a particular interest in topical issues. Therefore they are more likely to engage in a film about violence against women. Also the main characters in my film are both teenagers, again why it may appeal more to a younger demographic as they could relate to them and may feel more compelled to watch it.
However, it is also difficult to put my audience into a category. This is because my film is essentially about relationships which everyone can relate to no matter what age or what class you may be. Therefore it is difficult to pin point exactly who my audience may be. This is also because it will appeal people who can relate to an abusive relationship with a significant other and also with themselves as primarily my film is about someone who has fabricated an imaginary person. Also, as my main character is female, I think my film may also appeal more to women. My secondary audience category would be B (middle-class). This is because this category is more likely to be left wing and therefore more sympathetic towards the issues of abuse.
